The Many Faces Of….

Colleen Lynn, founder and sole operator of the anti-dog lobbying site, Dogsbite.org, has several faces, metaphorically speaking.

We’ll re-introduce you to the Colleen we’ve become familiar with in our research.

Colleen Lynn Dogsbite.org Divine Lady

Colleen Lynn’s resume includes:

Fortune Teller:  Divine Lady, $1/minute for your Runes Reading
Actress:  FAIL
Author:  FAIL
Web Designer:  Self-Taught
Statistician:  Not a mathematical genius
Dog Bite Expert:  Umm….
Victim Advocate:  Well, IF you’re bitten/attacked by any kind of dog that MIGHT be a pit bull type dog!
Lobbyist:  Eats, Sleeps, Breathes passing legislation to eradicate the pit bull looking dogs (short list of what Colleen Lynn at Dogsbite.org considers “pit bull”)

Colleen joined her “natural abilities” in one of her first ventures when “Divine Lady” was born, providing a form of fortune telling.

She delved into the Runes and quickly identified herself as an expert reader, possibly a pattern of future behavior?

Her expertise prompted her to write her self-published Divine Lady’s Guide to the Runes, defining the meaning of the symbols.
*Note:  Runes have been found as far back as the Bronze Age in rock carving in what is now Sweden.  Sadly, until Colleen Lynn aka Divine Lady provided definition and meaning to these symbols, they were apparently comparable to stick figure drawings*

Her book is still available online if any of our readers are interested.

Colleen designed the website runescast.com.  When WhoIsColleenLynn first broke this story, it was Ms. Lynn’s dirty little secret that she once offered readings for $1.00/minute and shared numerous blogs about personal understanding until 2005.  Today she has revived the site, advertising her book and has re-published blogs that we also uncovered by WhoIsColleenLynn.

A few that she hasn’t re-published (but we will) included Colleen visiting Hollywood in December of 2001, following her dreams to be famous.  She auditioned for a role that she didn’t win.  Her dreams dashed, her greatness still unrecognized….she returned home defeated and discouraged.  She wrote “What in God’s name am I going to do when I get back to Seattle?”  in a journal post describing her failure.

Her writing talents, while not award-winning,  have yet to be recognized in any notable published or peer review journals.  Yet, Colleen continues to represent herself as an expert statistician, dog-bite-expert, and even dog behaviorist to further her lobbying activities while posing as a victims advocate.  But we’ll save that review for a later article.

During her Runes days, she also took a little trip to the Andes.  We have a few insightful details from that trip coming up in future articles as well.

Colleen Lynn’s web design background?  Well, she is self-taught, even though that story too has changed over the years.  According to Colleen’s VAINNOTION site, as “….founder of VainNotion Inc is as principled as a self-taught designer can be.  Her winding career path is filled with bouts of intensity, reflection and reinvention…” *Her description, but if we were to come up with one, it would probably have been pretty similar.

Her only full-time job?  From 1993-1995 she was employed at Hyperbole Studios.  She also claims to have taught as well during the time she was developing her VainNotion business.  Sources at Hyperbole and The Art Institute of Seattle could not confirm nor deny record of a Colleen Lynn as an employee or faculty member at the time of this article.  Is Colleen Lynn dishonest, or is this not her name?  We have proof of a name change, but why?

In 2007, Colleen was jogging on a Sunday in June.  She encountered a leashed dog and it’s walker, approaching and attempting to pass the dog from behind.  That moment in time launched a crusade Colleen would ride high and hard. Colleen’s account of the events has changed repeatedly over the years.  But, again, we’ll save that for an upcoming article.

According to Lynn, it was shortly after this she realized her calling to greatness….and thus was born Dogsbite.org!
